Brief

Logitech Personal Workspace wanted to renew their focus on their Essential low-end portfolio in emerging markets. To achieve this, they introduced a vibrant new colour range of M171 mouse products and needed to generate audience excitement with the goal of accelerating product adoption.

Insight

The Logitech M171 mouse was already iconic in South Africa for its versatile design, long battery life, and robust features. We wanted to leverage the stellar reputation the M171 has earned, reminding our audience that it’s already a tried, tested, and proven crowd-favourite— now it’s back in three exciting new colourways, while retaining the durability that shot it to legendary status.

Strategy

To introduce the trio of new M171 colours, our strategic approach placed an emphasis on immersive content for use on social and paid media. To drive awareness, increase traffic, and boost engagement, we created omnichannel assets to foster greater engagement and interaction among our audience.

 Reintroducing a Legend


Using quirky GIFs, videos, and static imagery to create scroll-stopping content, we developed an engaging, multi-platform social media campaign that drove product education, built excitement, and cemented the Logitech M171 as a legend. 

To localise our content and connect with our audience, we drew on unique South African-isms that showcase how the product excels in an environment where consistent access to electricity is far from a given.
